If Justin Forsett doesn't make the final, active roster, it's a crime. No practice squad, nothing like that -- I'm talking the 53-man roster that plays each game. That's where he belongs. At minimum, he's a punt and kick returner. But he might also be great as late-in-the-half substitution when you ...

Plackemeier punts again for Seahawks - (08/25)

RENTON – When the Seattle Seahawks signed punter Reggie Hodges, it was widely assumed that he was there to mildly push incumbent Ryan Plackemeier in training camp, while taking enough of the punts that it wouldn’t wear out Plackemeier’s leg.

Sore back to sideline Hasselbeck for San Diego game - (08/25)

RENTON – In a training camp riddled with more injuries than Seattle’s Mike Holmgren can remember enduring through all of his years as head coach, perhaps the most nagging of all has been the ailing back of his starting quarterback.

    Monday in Hawkville - (08/25)

Greetings from The Murph. They now call this place Qualcomm Stadium, but it will always be The Murph to me – since it was once called Jack Murphy Stadium. Jack was the long-time sports editor and columnist for the San Diego Union, and I used to read him as a kid growing up in Chula Vista.

The New York Giants' road back to the Super Bowl is going to be a lot tougher than expected.

Seahawks Team Report (Yahoo! Sports) - (08/25)

The Seattle Seahawks are going to have a very difficult decision to make regarding rookie running back Justin Forsett, a seventh-round choice from California. It would be one thing if Forsett had had only a good week of practice and one good game. Then, the coaches could waive him off as a one-hit wonder. But Forsett has been perhaps the best player in training camp. He led the team in rushing in its intrasquad scrimmage and its second preseason game and would have led the team in rushing in its first preseason game had he not been thrown for a four-yard loss on the Seahawks' final offensive play of the game. Here are the issues with Forsett: He is small. Though he is listed at 5-8, 194, he is more like 5-6.

Heading into the Seahawks' third game, on Monday night, neither Courtney Taylor nor Ben Obomanu has caught a pass in the preseason. That needs to change in the matchup against the Chargers.
