Major news flash from Dove Valley: Jay Cutler says he has a good feel for the Broncos' offense. Not only that, he sounds good and looks good. And, may I add, the defense is looking good. Oh, and that new kicker . . . whoa, he's, like, looking really good.

Guess the Broncos? First Cuts - (08/24)

In the past, after the third preseason game the roster was trimmed down to 65 players.  This year, however, the cuts only go down to 75.  Since the preseason started with only 80 players, the difference of five isn?t one to get terribly excited about. Still, at least it gives one something to ponder on a [...]

    Broncos-Packers Preseason Quick Hits - (08/23)

When I first read the stat lines of the game, my immediate thought was, ?Whole lotta offense, whole nothing of defense.?  That description wasn?t entirely accurate upon viewing the tape, and it?s good news as the defense didn?t look as bad as I thought.  For example, the pass interference call on DJ Williams never should [...]

Don?t ?Pack? In The Third Preseason Game - (08/22)

The league is at the current point in the preseason where the starters see the most time on the field.  Most of these players are in no serious danger of missing out on the roster.  Of course, due to the precautionary nature of the preseason, several starters are held out when they would otherwise play, [...]

Familiar Broncos preseason opponents enjoyable - (08/20)

I?ve approved of the opponents the Broncos drew in the preseason for several reasons. Of greatest priority is the fact that the two most critical games for the starters (the second and third) were populated by two 13-3 teams from last year in the Cowboys and Packers. However, what?s also kept things interesting [...]

Webster named Broncos' starting middle linebacker (AP) - (08/25)

Niko Koutouvides proved to be the perfect motivator for Nate Webster. When the Denver Broncos signed Koutouvides to a three-year, $7.5 million contract in March, Webster knew he was in for some competition at middle linebacker. "Signing Niko just made me lock in and focus a little more coming into camp," Webster said.

Mallard among Broncos' first cuts - (08/25)

Josh Mallard may be an example of how versatility can work against a guy. As a defensive lineman, Mallard can play tackle and end, and he can rush the passer. But Monday he was among three players cut by the Broncos.

Broncos Team Report (Yahoo! Sports) - (08/25)

No matter how many games Brandon Marshall plays for the Denver Broncos this season, he appears poised to put up some big numbers. Marshall had a great training camp and productive preseason. He finished it with a big performance in Denver's third preseason game against Green Bay. He had two catches for 71 yards and a touchdown, and also drew a 31-yard pass interference call. This preseason, Marshall had 10 catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in about five quarters of action. That will probably be it for Marshall until sometime in September. The Broncos don't play any of their regular starters in the preseason finale, and Marshall will probably sit as well. Then he starts a suspension for violating the NFL conduct policy.

Marshall shows the Broncos what they'll be missing (AP) - (08/23)

Brandon Marshall has spent the summer giving quarterback Jay Cutler and the rest of the Denver Broncos a glimpse of what they'll soon be sorely missing.
