Buffalo Bills linebacker Alvin Bowen is scheduled for surgery next week on a torn right knee ligament, likely ending his rookie season before it starts. With rookie linebacker Alvin Bowen lost for the foreseeable future, the Buffalo Bills quickly signed free agent linebacker Donnie Spragan on Saturday. Bills' rookie Hardy eager to make immediate impact (AP) - (08/02)

Rookie receiver James Hardy's first objective in an effort to make an immediate impact on the Buffalo Bills offense this season is a simple one: Get close with the guy throwing him the ball, quarterback Trent Edwards. "I'm trying to be Trent's best friend," Hardy said. "Whatever I have to do, if I have to go to his house, I'll be there." As to whether the offer included him picking up Edwards'...

Bills DT Stroud can still pack a wallop (AP) - (08/01)

If there's a chip on Marcus Stroud's shoulder, it certainly packs a wallop. Just ask Buffalo Bills right guard Brad Butler, who found out the hard way after being bowled over by the hard-charging defensive tackle during a one-on-one drill at a recent training camp session. "Yeah, he pancaked me," Butler said, impressed.

Patriots Tippett finally gets spot in Hall of Fame (AP) - (07/30)

It was much tougher for Andre Tippett to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame than into an opponent's backfield. Tippett had to wait until his 10th year of eligibility to be voted in. The linebacker he often was compared with, Lawrence Taylor, made it on his first chance. On Saturday, though, the greatest pass rusher in New England Patriots history finally joins one of the greatest pass rushers in...

Easterbrook tears into ex-Bills GM Donahoe - (04/29)

While watching draft coverage on ESPN this weekend, I cringed when Chris Mortensen found a way to bring up former Bills GM Tom Donahoe. I believe it was after the Patriots took quarterback Kevin O’Connell. Mort said that he talked to Donahoe before the draft and the worst decision maker in NFL history had the QB [...]

With the No. 179 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills take running back Xavier Omon out of Division II Northwest Missouri State.
